Michael F. Bermon 

Mike is a highly regarded expert in regulatory matters in both the electricity and natural gas industries. He has over thirty years experience directing a variety of applications through the Ontario Energy Board, the National Energy Board and various other U.S. and Canadian regulatory authorities. Mike was an executive with Union Gas Limited where he held senior positions in finance, regulatory, and government affairs including SVP, Finance and Regulatory Affairs and SVP Regulatory Affairs and Business Development. Subsequently, Mike was the Chief Regulatory Officer with Hydro One in Toronto. In this position, he oversaw the company’s transformation to a regulated enterprise including the unbundling of transmission and distribution rates, the introduction of open access and the regulatory approvals for the significant expansion of Hydro One’s service territory. Mike is a former Chairman of the Ontario Natural Gas Association and is a founding director of the Ontario Energy Association. 

 

 

Laura Oudovik 

Laura leads emerging technologies practice at Exel Energy Group. She has over 20 years of experience in Information Technology. Her expertise includes strategic relations, executive program/portfolio creation and management, strategic direction, IT business planning and budgeting, cybersecurity, capital planning, IT risk management and technical project oversight. Laura led several global multi-project teams, delivering complex business solutions. In her current role Laura focuses on advocating emerging technologies by fostering development of global ecosystems and quantum-ready workforce.
